Hollywood smile vs bonding vs zirconia
When laminate veneers, composite bonding, and zirconium crowns are the right tool — and when a slogan is the wrong one.

Composite bonding adds resin and is the least invasive, but stains and chips sooner. Laminate veneers are thin ceramics for colour and shape when enamel is sound. Zirconia crowns cover the whole tooth when it is already broken or root-treated. A Hollywood smile is a look, not a material. The dentist should pick the tool per tooth, not sell one product for the whole mouth.
Bonding
Good for small chips and modest colour change. Reversible-ish compared with crowns, but not magic. Expect maintenance. Not the usual answer to a 20-tooth ‘Hollywood’ brief.
Laminate veneers
Ceramic shells. Need enough enamel and a plan for the bite. Typical coordinated stay about 5–7 days.
Zirconia crowns
More reduction, more strength. Right for heavily restored teeth. Wrong as a default on healthy front teeth that only needed shade.
Mixing materials
Common and honest. Front veneers and back crowns can be one plan. The written list should say which tooth gets what.

Which lasts longest?
Well-made ceramics usually outlast bonding. Crowns can last longer on broken teeth because they wrap the tooth. Nothing is lifetime.
Which is cheapest?
Bonding is often the lowest line. A cheap full-arch zirconia quote can still be the wrong dentistry.
Can I upgrade bonding to veneers later?
Often yes. Tell the next dentist what was placed.
Is Hollywood smile a third material?
No. It is a nickname for a full aesthetic result, usually veneers or crowns.
Will all three be offered to me?
They should be discussed if they fit. If a clinic only sells one product, ask why.
