Fat Removal (Liposuction)

Number of fat cells in an adult body is stable. It does not increase after puberty, but the volume of fat cells increases. This results in gaining weight. Diet, exercise, and a stable lifestyle are musts for avoiding excess weight.

However, even the people who meet these conditions may have resistant fat accrual in their bodies. Some part of the body such as the abdomen, the waist, inside and outside of the femur, and the knees are fat accrual regions that do not respond to diet or exercise. Liposuction is a surgery in which excess fats in the body are extracted by a special vacuum or an injector and removed from the body. It is an operation for body modification, and absolutely not for weight loss. While the bulking fat tissue resistant to diet and exercise is removed from the body with this operation, the number of existing fat cells drops. It is a riskless operation as long as its purpose is chosen to be modification and not weight loss, the patient is chosen wisely, and it is applied with an upright technique at hospital conditions. It is now possible to remove excess fats, accruing in many parts of the body such as below the chin, in the cheeks, in the neck, in upper inside of arms, in breasts, in the abdomen, in the femur, in inner side of the knees, and behind the legs, by vacuuming.
